"Our Mission"
Amending.
Correcting.
Doing it Right.
That
ultimately is our Mission.
Once we have educated ourselves in these matters,
once we have identified and put our finger
on those things that are wrong,
then we will see that it is not just a mission
but also our Duty to
correct that which is wrong.
This
"Duty" comes from and accords with the Declaration of
Independence, a response to the unbridled "tyranny" of
taxes imposed by King George III, whence it behooved the
people and became declared their duty to
"overthrow" such governance.
Years
later and perhaps ironically, in 1912, Amendment 16 was
ratified and empowered our governance, Congress, to tax anything
and everything, at any rate it wants and also to use - apportion -
such revenues in any way it desires. In looking at what is
right, Congress may amend current taxes or may choose not to.
But in being educated, in good conscience, Congress will, we
believe, amend and do the right things. That is Congress'
and our duty, if we hold the Declaration of Independence dear. |
